However, it seems Microsoft has quietly put Windows Wireless Display on the removal list since that announcement.īack then, Microsoft took off Cortana and services such as Windows To Go from the platform. This is standard practice whenever a new version of the platform arrives, in this case Windows 10 version 2004. Any info would be greatly appreciated.Back in May, Microsoft went through the process of removing some apps and features from Windows 10. Also i can't remember where i read this but i think i remember something about both devices (the xbox one and the device your streaming to xbox one ) requiring a wireless connection to the internet rather then wired, is this the case?įinally, most of the talk has been regarding windows 10 laptops but is it restricted to laptop only somehow, i feel like if you can stream a laptop running windows 10 then a pc running windows 10 shouldn't be a problem but you never know and thats why im here asking these questions.

Based on a few videos I've watched the app appears to allow you to stream windows laptops, mobiles and tablets including android devices but excluding ios. Im curious if anybody on gaf has any experiences with it and if so have those experiences been mostly positive or negative? I have streamed my xbox one to my windows 10 pc so with that in mind how does streaming pc to xbox one compare?Īlso, what are the limitations and requirements. The reason i figured id ask a few questions is because i couldn't find talk of it anywhere else on gaf which is funny because i keep seeing lots of posts in various threads about the potential to stream steam games to xbox one, something this app appears to already accomplish (how well is up for debate). Unfortunately i myself am not a preview member. Are any xbox one preview members here familiar with the wireless display app? Im pretty sure its available to preview members right now but i am unsure.
